I am an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. I have a dental degree and practiced general dentistry after graduating from dental school at the University of Nebraska. After three years I returned to school and received an MD degree and completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. I am licensed in both medicine and dentistry and board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I have practiced in Billings for thirty three years. My practice included the full scope of oral surgery including facial trauma, reconstructive surgery, pathology, extractions and dental implants. The implant practice grew to be one of the largest in Montana.
One of the most satisfying parts of my practice has been the ability to offer the full range of oral surgery services from the very high end with implants and complete restoration of patients’ smile and function to the very simple treatments like extracting teeth that are beyond repair and are causing great pain.
Dr. David W. Gemmell, DDS, is a distinguished Oral & Maxillofacial Radiologist with a passion for lifelong learning and a commitment to compassionate dental care.
